Kativik

Oral health care is regulated by Nunavik regional board of health and social services that provides services to Aboriginal communities. Inuulitsivik Health Center supports seven Inuit communities. However, dental professionals sometimes need to travel to smaller communities to provide care. The team is composed of dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants (Centre de santé Inuulitsivik).

The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center serves the populations of Kujjuaq and Ungava Bay. Most of the dental services are free for the populations and professional’s remuneration is regulated by Quebec’s government. It is possible to do dentistry internships in these two institutions (RRSSS Nunavik, 2011).
