Many public schools offer a variety of programs such as sports studies, international education programs and specialized programs such as intensive English which can be tailored to meet student needs (Connaissance étendue). There is also one Cégep (General and vocational college) and a university on the territory.

Since 2000, more than 20 new festivals have started to take place among which during the summer, there is the Humor festival that attracts about 20,000 people each year and the Festival des guitares du monde that hosts world’s greatest guitarists (Bonjour Québec; Vie culturelle).
